Ulli V, Instructor

I took my first Bikram class in 2002 when I was working long hours as a critical care nurse in London/UK. It said on the flyer: "When you do this yoga regularly, you’ll have so much energy, you don’t need sleep anymore." I thought, 'that’s just what I need' and gave it a try. I got into a regular practice three years later when my body felt broken down from too much biking and long distance running. My knees, shoulders and neck hurt and I was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. With my regular practice, all of this has improved, and my carpal tunnel syndrome is long gone.

I went to teacher training in LA in the Fall of 2006 and have been teaching since in Europe, the US, New Zealand and BC.
I like to give individual corrections and encourage students to work hard and focus on their physical alignment as well as training the mind.

I still practice almost every day. For me the most important thing is to find that moment of stillness in the posture, where there is absolutely nothing.
