I started practising Bikram Yoga three and a half years ago, after ten years as a stay at home Mom with no exercise routin. At that time I could barely touch my toes and would be out of breath after a flight of stairs.
I struggled just to get through the first few classes. I looked around in amazement at what the advanced students were doing and thought I could never accomplish any of those postures. I kept coming back though and made micro-improvements every day as I slowly became stronger, more confident and more focused.
Over the months that passed I lost inches, toned up from head to toe and remarkably my migraines diminished. I felt like a million bucks. I am continually amazed that I learn something new about the yoga, and about myself, in each and every class.
There is no question Bikram Yoga is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I have ever done in my nearly 44 years. Thank you to all the fabulous instructors and fellow students. You inspire me every day!!
